Thanks for checking up to see that I got your catalog downloaded...YES I
did finally get it...
Could you possibility give some more information on your on your Paso
Bits cat.#11-0102 and other models of the same bit... I have not seen
these type of bits before...
Also a trial pad which I was told you carry, white wool, I think about 1
inch thick...RRR I believe it the brand, maybe it could be PPP. A lady I
rode with had one and said she really liked it, if you still carry
this pad or have any information on it, I sure would like to have some
more information.....THANKS
HAPPY TRAILS Jane Rader
Dear Jane,
Happy New Year! The bits are from Peru.
They are for Peruvian Paso horses
but I have found them to work well with
all gaited horses. They are not severe.
They are nicely balanced with short
shanks that swing freely, and a fairly low port.
It is best to introduce your horse into
this bit (or any shanked bit) by riding in
4-reins for awhile, using our narrow
nose band bosal. To learn how to train in 4-reins
get us to send you a copy of my book
Horse Handling-Horse Sense, A Practical Guide
for Today's Pleasure-Trail Riders
(Especially Naturally Gaited Horse Riders).
No, we do not carry the PPP
(Pennsylvania Performance Pads) any more. They went
out of business. However, we carry an
orthodic pad that we think is even better.
Hope this helps. Have more questions?
Call me at 970-858-3607. I'll be glad to talk to you.
Happy trails, Don West
